Controversy with Pharisees Over Jesus' Miracles
When the crowd marveled at what Jesus had done, one of the Pharisees stood up and said that he could do these things only because he was in league with the devils, and that he had admitted that he and this devil were known to each other. He went on to say that the Sanhedrin in Jerusalem had decided that Jesus did all of his so-called miracles by the power of Beelzebub, the prince of devils.
