Jesus taught that sins are forgiven simply through faith in God and that there is no need for sacrifice or for someone to pay a debt for their sins. God the Father in Heaven loves all of His children with the same eternal love. Faith and the rebirth of the person's mind that comes with it is the only admission into the kingdom of heaven. Where John had taught them repentance to flee from the wrath to come, Jesus taught them faith is the open door of entering into the perfect, present, and eternal love of God.
